The island has crystal clear waters and coral reefs nearby, making it an ideal place to snorkel and explore marine life, including tropical fish and corals.

Snorkeling at this site is an experience you can't miss. You may even have the chance to spot a whale shark, a giant turtle, or vibrantly colored fish on one of the dives.

The beaches of Isla Contoy are beautiful and safe for swimming. You can enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean while admiring the beautiful aquatic species of the area. Guided Tours

Many visitors join guided tours where expert island rangers or tour guides provide information about the island, its ecology, and its history.

Guided tours of Isla Contoy National Park are usually short. The island is approximately 9 km long and 700 meters wide in the largest area of the island (that's right, very small).

Guided tours usually include visiting the Isla Contoy museum, located in a beautiful sanctuary with shells of turtles that lived a long life on Isla Contoy.

The rest of the island, except the mangrove swamp and the inner lake, is closed to the public, so it is not possible to enter the areas of Isla Contoy that are not permitted by the authorities.
